Help Sponsor New Farms for New Americans Today!
New American farmers are hard at work in the farm field, planting seeds and starts and learning the basics of farming in Vermont. The project helps African women (and a few men) utilize farming skills acquired overseas, earn extra income for their households, provide healthy food for their families, and form bonds of social support.

You can support this exciting project! The AALV is actively soliciting donations of watering cans, hoes, shovels, trowels, harvest knives, garden hose, and wheel barrows. The project is also hoping to purchase a used 12-passenger van. We’ve raised $7,000, but we need to reach our goal of $12,000 to transport all participants back and forth to the garden plot and to local farmers’ markets. To help, phone us at 985-3106 or email Josie Weldon at josieweldon.aalv@yahoo.com.
